Papaya Leaf
Carica papaya
Papaya leaf extract significantly increases platelet count — highly relevant for cancer patients experiencing thrombocytopenia from chemotherapy. Acetogenins from papaya leaves show anti-tumour activity against cervical, breast, and liver cancer cells. Isothiocyanates and carotenoids add additional anti-cancer effects. Japanese researchers have documented papaya leaf's Th1 cytokine stimulation.
