Modified Citrus Pectin / MCP
Citrus sinensis (modified fraction)
Modified Citrus Pectin (MCP) is a specially processed citrus fibre that inhibits galectin-3 — a protein cancer cells use to stick to vessel walls and form metastases. Clinical studies show MCP significantly reduces PSA doubling time in prostate cancer. It also binds heavy metals and environmental toxins. MCP is one of the few supplements with direct anti-metastasis evidence in human trials.

Cautions & Interactions
- May cause initial digestive discomfort — start low
- May interact with chemotherapy timing — take separately
- Ensure product is genuinely 'modified' (low molecular weight) — regular pectin does not work the same way
- Expensive — prioritise if prostate cancer or high metastasis risk
