Celery Seed
Apium graveolens
Apigenin from celery seed (one of the richest dietary sources) potently inhibits cancer cell proliferation, induces apoptosis, and has shown activity against prostate, breast, and colon cancers. Luteolin and phthalides add additional anti-cancer effects. Celery seed also has anti-hypertensive properties relevant to cancer patients on certain treatments.
