Burdock Root
Arctium lappa
Burdock root's arctigenin (a lignan) shows anti-cancer activity against pancreatic, breast, colon, and lung cancer cells, inhibiting STAT3 and mTOR signalling. Burdock is a key ingredient in both Essiac Tea and the Hoxsey formula — two of the most-used herbal cancer formulas. Its inulin fibre supports gut microbiome critical for immune function.
